After nearly 25 years at the helm, and nearly 40 years in the fluid line distribution business, Scott Derkin, Founder and President was ready to retire. A successful heart by-pass surgery in 2013 helped to focus his attention on the need for succession. Hose Sales Direct had always enjoyed smart, talented staffing and Scott recognized that it was there among those who had contributed so much to his success he would find his answer. Dallas Mohr had joined the organization fresh out of University of Toledo with a degree in accounting and had quickly won the admiration of his colleagues as a bright and capable Office Manager and Accountant. He engaged quickly and easily with customers and vendors and when presented with the opportunity to acquire the firm, put together a plan that as of January 18, 2018 made him the proud new owner of Hose Sales Direct.
Dallas is committed to continuing the standards of quality product; prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service that Hose Sales is so well known for. He is proud of the work and dedication that key staff members like Ken Gembolis, Leo Jeffers, Jake Coucher and Luis Perez continue to contribute, and has brought on new staffers as well to round out the organization as he looks to the future.
